Delete your account
You can permanently delete your RentTrack account and all of its data at any time by emailing us. This page explains exactly how, what gets removed, and how long the process takes.
1. How to request deletion
Send an email to the address below from the email account associated with your RentTrack account:
Use a subject line like:
Subject: RentTrack account deletion request
Please delete my RentTrack account and all associated data.
Account email: (your email)
Sending the request from the email registered to your account lets us
verify it's really you. If you signed in with Apple's "Hide my email"
option, send the request from your real email and tell us the
relay address that was issued to you (the one ending in
@privaterelay.appleid.com).
2. How long it takes
We action all deletion requests within 30 days of receiving them. In practice we usually action them within a few business days. We will reply to confirm once your account has been deleted.
3. What gets deleted
Once your request is actioned, we remove:
- Your account record (email, display name, avatar URL).
- All properties you added, with their addresses and tenant names.
- All rental payment records.
- All expenses you logged.
- All reminder preferences and device tokens.
- Your sign-in tokens and any saved sessions.
4. What is retained, and for how long
After deletion, the following may remain for a short period:
- Encrypted backups of our database may retain a copy of your data for up to 30 days, after which they are rotated out.
- Server access logs (no app content — just request metadata like IP and timestamp) are kept for up to 90 days for security investigation.
No personal data is shared, sold, or used for any purpose after deletion. After the retention windows above, your data is gone for good.
